"When it comes to helping the person transfer, it's important to know your own physical abilities and limitations and not tackle more than you can handle; ask for help. If your loved one needs more than 25% physical assistance to transfer from one surface to another, request skilled occupational therapy services for transfer training in the bathroom to ensure safety and reduce risk of injury."
